Good afternoon grade one families!

In math, we have been working on creating "Wild Thing" graphs! We have also been working on our "doubles" in addition.

In literacy, we reviewed the bossy E! Ask me what the "bossy E" at the end of a word makes the vowel do.

While continuing to learn about the Zones of Regulation, we did a story book scavenger hunt and looked for characters experiencing different emotions.

We are starting to explore different artifacts and technology from the past.

Today we began exploring "The Witness Blanket"- a large scale work of Art created by Indigenous artist Cary Newman. Our students show such kindness, respect and empathy when we discuss Canada's history with residential schools.

Have a wonderful evening!

Love the grade one team 💙
